All of our .025" (approx. 1/40") embossed aluminum diamond plate sheets ship rolled inside a compact box — this is completely
normal and expected. Use the two-step process below to flatten them, repeating as needed.

Step 1 — Back-roll to release the curl (start here first): After removing the sheets from the box, gently roll them in the
opposite direction from how they arrived (against the curl), using slow, careful back-and-forth motion with a large, gentle radius. Be careful not to make any sharp or tight bends, as this can crease or damage the sheet. This back-roll releases the bulk of the metal's rolled memory and is often all that is needed.

Step 2 — Weight them flat: Turn the sheets face-down with the tear-away PVC protective film facing down on a clean flat surface, then lay a sheet of drywall, OSB, or plywood on top. Let them rest for 24–72 hours to allow the sheets to continue relaxing flat.

If the sheets still have some remaining curl after Step 2, repeat both steps agai — back-roll gently first, then weight them flat again. Most sheets will come fully flat with one or two passes through this process.

► Pro tip: Many customers install sheets while they still have a slight remaining curl by starting from one edge and working across, letting the adhesive or fasteners hold each section flat as they go. If your project requires a flatter sheet before you begin, working through Steps 1 and 2 — repeated if needed — is the most reliable approach.

Diamond plate installs easily over a clean, flat substrate — drywall or plywood are the most common surfaces. All sheets come with a tear-away PVC protective film on the face. Leave it in place while handling, cutting, and installing to protect the finish, then peel it off the sheet surface once your installation is complete.

INSTALLATION METHODS:

★ MOST POPULAR — Construction adhesive — recommended adhesive product Most installers apply construction adhesive directly to the wall surface, then press the diamond plate panel into place starting from one edge and working across. Some installer prefer to apply adhesive to the back of the sheet instead — either method works well. You have a short window to adjust position before it sets, making it forgiving and easy to work with.

★ FASTEST & EASIEST — DeWalt Wall Dog screws. These black Wall Dog screws have wide, aggressive threads that anchor securely into drywall even if you miss a stud, and fasten cleanly into wood or metal studs when you hit one. Note that these are not self-tapping — drill a small pilot hole before driving each screw. Screws are a great choice if you'd ever want to remove a panel cleanly later. Some installers combine methods: using double-sided tape to tack the sheet in position first, then finishing with screws as they work across the panel.

★ TACKING & TRIM — 1" double-sided tape Double-sided tape is handy for holding trim moldings in position during installation or for temporarily tacking panels in place before screwing. It can also be used as a standalone fastening method for smaller accent pieces, though keep in mind it is a one-shot application — very difficult to reposition or remove once applied.

Trim moldings have a nailing flange so you can tack them withsmall finish nails or apply them with construction adhesive.Plan your trim placement before installing sheets — fittingcorner and edge trims first gives you a cleaner, moreprofessional finished look.

• Open and inspect the contents the same day.
• Retain all packaging — box, interior wrap, end caps, and packing materials — until your claim is fully resolved.

• Clear photos of the shipping box and all damaged material being claimed
